How much are your legal services likely to cost?

Fitzhugh Gates is certainly not the most expensive solicitors, but how much any particular service costs does depend on many factors.

Our charges are always transparent, competitive and tailored to individual resources wherever possible. In certain cases we may also offer a fixed fee initial consultation at £210 inc. VAT (£35 at %20) along with fixed fee divorce and civil partnership dissolution packages.

Can I set a limit on costs?

Where we have given an estimate this will not be exceeded unless unforeseen complications have arisen and we have your instructions to continue with the matter.

Can I still get help through legal aid?

Our family team offers advice and representation under the legal aid scheme for;

• The protection of children eg. care proceedings, child abuse, child abduction or acting on behalf of children.
• Legal advice in support of mediation, domestic violence injunctions cases or forced marriage protection orders.
• All other cases where you satisfy the criteria for the award of public funding.
